The laminate installation process
Congratulations on your laminate purchase! Laminate is a durable, stylish flooring solution that should function beautifully for years to come, provided it's installed and maintained properly. While it's easy enough to install for many DIYers due to its convenient locking edges, it's still best to trust professionals with your installation! Read on to learn more about our laminate installation process!
Preparing for installation
While we handle your installation for you, there are a few steps you should take to be prepared for installation day. First, you should allow your new laminate to acclimate to your home for at least 48 hours, so you'll need to arrange to have your laminate delivered two days before your actual installation.
On the actual day of your installation, you'll need to empty the room of all furniture, decor, and valuables. Because laminate floats over the subfloor without directly attaching to it, it can be installed over your pre-existing flooring without needing to remove it, which spares you from associated messes and headaches.
During and after installation
A member of your household who is at least 18 years of age will need to be at your home to greet the installation crew and show them to the work area. For everyone's safety, keep children and pets away from the area until the job is done. Get a final walkthrough once the project is completed.
